Liliana Komorowska is the Founder and President of QUEENART FILMS. 

Formed in 2004, this film company focuses on making films.

Liliana Komorowska is fascinated by human nature and stimulated by originality and artistic creation. An accomplished actress finds passion in filmmaking; she has more than thirty years of experience in cinema and has played in over sixty film productions.

Since its foundation, QueenArt Films has produced many short films, music videos, and documentaries: 2006 –REGAINED PARADIS PERDU, PARADIS RETROUVE | PARADISE LOST, PARADISE, about Polish aristocracy living in Rawdon, a small city in Quebec (broadcasted in 2012 by TV Polonia)

QueenArt Films undertakes the creative development of film projects by Liliana Komorowska to set up productions with Canadian content.

Mentored by the Academy Award-winning film producer Denise Robert and inspired by the work of Alanis Obomsawin, a proficient documentary filmmaker, Liliana discovered a passion for directing. In 2007, Komorowska took her efforts behind the cam to produce under her production company, 

QueenArt Films produced her first documentary short titled PARADISE LOST PARADISE FOUND (PARADIS PERDU, PARADIS RETROUVE) - broadcast by TV Polonia in 2012.

An accomplished actress and promising filmmaker, Liliana Komorowska went behind the camera in 2009 to shoot what would become her directorial debut with the powerful, ambitious, touching, and poignant award-winning documentary film BEAUTY AND THE BREAST | PIĘKNE I BESTIA – (iTunes, Amazon, Vimeo on demand). 

This compelling feature offers an intimate insight into the devastating realities of breast cancer through the eyes of nine female survivors. Shortly after making its festival debut at the World Film Festival in Montreal in 2012, the film achieved high honours. Komorowska took home her first Best Documentary Award and Public Award and later snagged the Grand Jury Prize for the Best Feature Documentary and Best First-Time Director awards at the London Film Awards. The film continued to garner honours around the world, including the prize for Best Feature Documentary at the Women's International Film & Arts Festival in Miami, the Royal Reel Award for the Best Canadian Film at the Canada International Film Festival, and an honourable mention at the New Jersey Film Festival and Santa Monica Independent Film Festival in 2013.

Komorowska's s most recent short film, TO MY FATHER | OJCU, is a dramatic recreation of events that tell the story of Adam Bandrowski, a teacher from the Polish borderlands, an innocent victim of one of many acts of genocide carried out during Stalin's Great Purge. His daughter Alina Bandrowska breaks the silence about Vinnytsia Massacre with her poem. It premiered at CAMERIMAGE 2015. The film went to CANNES 2016, seen at SHORT FILM CORNERS.

She is a member of The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television and the Film Directors Association of Poland.
